The FSR is elected by students of the Faculty of Economics and Business. It is the students’ participation body within the FEB and controls the board, chaired by the Dean. This is legislated in the Law ‘Wet op het Hoger Onderwijs en Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek’. In order to control and consult the board, the FSR writes advices and consents deliberated from a students’ perspective.

The quality of education within the university is very important. This, however, means a consideration on what students might like and what students need. In the end, students are best served when they have the best possible education. Therefore, high quality education is the first mission of the FSR.

Though the quality of education is never to be compromised, the facilities around education have to be as accessible and easy to use as possible. This represents the second mission of the FSR: easy accessible and well equipped study facilities. Regulations and procedures should be clear and well communicated by the Faculty and complaint bodies should be available for every student.
