As representative of the Faculty of Economics and Business in the Central Studentcouncil, I will both protect the rights and wants of students at faculty as well as at central level. At central level I will be – among other things – involved in the reconstructions at the REC, the new catering contract, and the honours program. At faculty level, together with the other council members, I want to introduce the taping of lectures, take a look at the quality of the lecture rooms, and ensure the implementation of the new study program will go as planned.

VICTOR CERAP, COUNCIL MEMBER

Victor Cerap
Council Member
Party: Mei
Working Groups: Public Relations, Internationalization
Info:

Dear fellow students,

Having studied at UvA for approximately two years, I have experienced a good education environment. However, as the majority of you, I stumbled upon unpleasant issues which stir frustration and confusion. This discomfort is mainly created by the increasing number of students and incapability of providing qualitative education for the masses. My aim as a member of the student council is to reduce such a discrepancy and at the same time to provide international students with chances to become equal members in the student community. Therefore, we need to know what bothers you in order to spark positive changes and acknowledge our faculty board – Quality first, the rest after!

Info:

Interest about the quality of the university I study at has led me to run for a position in the Faculty Studend Council. As an international bachelor student, my main point of interest and role for the council is to lead the internationalization working group that aims to improve integration of foreign students in the Dutch community. In addition, I fulfill the position of the Treasurer, which allows me to use some of the theoretical knowledge in practice. I am happy and proud to represent the students at the Faculty of Economics and Business.

Working Groups: Facilities
Info:

As I study on this faculty since 2006, I grew over the years more and more involved with faculty-related matters. For that reason I am now besides president of the faculty’s largest study association also a representative of student interests that go beyond the mere scope of the association. I feel priviliged to be in such a position and I will always strive for a better faculty in the most sincere manner. From the perspective of this council, I will deal in the coming year with facilities and with the educational committee.
