Committees
Bachelor Committee
The Bachelor Committee focuses on the bachelor phase of the Dentistry program. Within this committee, responsibility for various aspects of the bachelor’s program is divided. Some council members handle preclinical dossiers, while others focus on theoretical courses. The committee consists of the year representatives from the bachelor’s years, as well as the Commissioner of the Bachelor’s Program and the General Commissioner.
Additionally, the committee regularly meets with the program to enhance the quality of education within the bachelor’s program. During these meetings, the committee raises points of concern and is also frequently asked for feedback on potential adjustments to the program.
Year Representatives
Year Representatives
Year Representatives are appointed in pairs or trios for each academic year. They serve as spokespersons for their respective year during Educational Dialogues, committee meetings, and interactions with coordinators and program directors.
For the academic year 2024-2025, the positions of Year Representatives have not yet been opened for application. Students will be informed as soon as more information becomes available.
Dossiers
Education and Examination Regulations
According to the Higher Education and Research Act (WHW), the Faculty Student Council (FSR) has the right to approve the Education and Examination Regulations (OER) for both the Bachelor’s and Master’s programs. Alongside other stakeholders in this process, the FSR works towards an optimal OER. The FSR represents the interests of students during negotiations and strives to achieve the best possible outcome for all students.
Preclinic
In collaboration with the preclinical coordinator and the line coordinators in the Bachelor’s program, the Commissioner of the Bachelor’s Program discusses the materials used in the preclinical phase, the staffing of instructors, and other related conditions.
If students identify issues within the preclinical phase, the Year Representative is the first point of contact. The Year Representatives then reach out to the Commissioner of the Bachelor’s Program.
Clinic
The Commissioner of the Master’s Program is responsible for maintaining close communication regarding clinical education at ACTA. To achieve this, they participate in meetings with the Year Representatives and the management team of the Clinic for General Dentistry (KAM) during the KAM meetings.
Theoretical education
Both the Commissioner of the Master’s Program and the Commissioner of the Bachelor’s Program are responsible for ensuring that all processes in theoretical education run smoothly. They maintain close contact with the Program Directors and Year Representatives. If problems arise, these issues are discussed during the Program Directors’ meetings (OD) or Educational Dialogues (OWD) with the students.
