Who Are We? Our Board A Manual to the FSR-FMG Contact Us Meeting Minutes Back to the TopWho Are We?
Welcome to the vibrant heart of the Faculty of Behavioural & Social Sciences at the University of Amsterdam. We are the dedicated members of the Student Council, the student-driven bridge between the student body and the faculty’s decision-making process.
We are a diverse and passionate group comprising of bachelor’s and master’s students, each bringing their individual perspectives to the table. We pride ourselves on being accessible, approachable, and always eager to connect with our fellow students. Apart from the council members, we also have an amazing secretary, Kamyab, who is the forefront contact person as well as in charge of writing the minutes to the OVs. The secretary also deals with much more!
As the Student Council, we wear many hats, each with the goal of improving the student experience. Here are some of the core aspects of our work:
-
Representation: We serve as the voice of the students, representing their concerns, feedback, and ideas to the faculty administration. Your concerns are our concerns.
-
Policy Advocacy: We work closely with the faculty to shape policies and decisions that affect students. We advocate for transparency, fairness, and inclusivity in all academic matters.
-
Student Support: We’re here to provide information, guidance, and support for students facing challenges or seeking assistance within the faculty.
-
Collaboration: We collaborate with various student organizations, departments, and stakeholders to bring positive changes to the faculty.
