Central student council
The CSR consists of 14 members. Seven of these members are directly elected, while the other seven are delegated by the Faculty Student Councils. It is the highest participation body of the UvA and represents the entire student population. Do you want to know more about us? Check it out here.
The student council and its importance
There are more than 42,000 students at the University of Amsterdam. Every May, students are elected to the Central Student Council (CSR) and the Faculty Councils (FSRs). Members of the CSR represent all UvA students and have regular meetings with the Executive Board.
The Student Council (SR) offers its members the opportunity to participate in the decision-making process within the UvA and ensures direct influence on the educational experience and well-being of students. It promotes accountability and transparency within the institutions and requires educational institutions to listen to and respond to the needs and concerns of their students.
